ITINERARY
Cochin (Arrival) – Athirappally (1 Night) – Cherai (1 Night) – Cochin (Departure)
Day 1: Cochin – Athirappilly (80 Kms – Approx 2 Hrs Drive)
Upon arrival will meet and proceed to Athirappilly. Athirappilly Falls nicknamed as the “Nigara” of India is the largest waterfalls in Kerala at the enterance of Sholayar ranges which stands tall at 80 feet and originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats. Just a short drive from Athirappilly, the Vazhachal waterfall is close to dense green forests that are home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna.Plantations in the area contain teak, bamboo, and eucalyptus. The scenic beauty of Athirappilly falls has always been attractive to filmmakers. Visitors can reach the top of the waterfall via a paved path that leads through thick bamboo clusters. Day 2: Athirapilly - Cherai (120 Kms – Approx. 3 Hrs Drive)
After breakfast checkout and proceed to Cherai. Cherai has the longest beach in Kochi - the Cherai beach, a picturesque beach, located on the north-end of the Vypeen Island is ideal for swimming. Lined with luscious green coconut groves and paddy fields, this sandy beach is a unique combination of the sea and the backwaters. Its lagoons and fish farms with Chinese fishing nets on the waterfront are added attractions. Apart from sightseeing activities it is a place for rest and relaxation with calm beach front and good variety of sea foods. Enjoy the palm fringed beach and its sunset there in the evening. Day 3: Cherai – Cochin (40 Kms – Approx 1 Hr Drive)
After breakfast checkout and proceed to Cochin. Sightseeing at Cochin include Fort Kochi with huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets (believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng He between 1350 and 1450 AD.), St. Francis CSI Church (Oldest European church in India), Jew Town with 16th century Jewish Synagogue (closed on every Fridays and Saturdays and Jewish Holidays), Mattancherry Dutch Palace, built by Portuguese in 1555 (Closed on every Fridays), Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica and drop to the Railway Station/Airport for onward journey, Say good bye to Kerala with wonderful memories of a beautiful vacation with Ebenezer Holidays Pvt.
